EBERHARD’S DAIRY WINS TOP AWARD FOR FLUID MILK AT ODI

Eberhard’s Dairy Products was awarded the top prize from Oregon Dairy Industries for 2020: The Fluid Milk Sweepstakes!

Each year, Oregon Dairy Industries evaluates dairy products within the Pacific Northwest and recognizes companies who have made outstanding contributions to the dairy foods industry to promote the production of high-quality dairy products in the Pacific Northwest. The Fluid Milk Sweepstakes prize is awarded to the company with the highest scores for three of the milk categories: skim, reduced fat, and whole milk. Eberhard’s was also honored with the Fluid Sweepstakes Award award in 2016 and 2018. In addition to the top prize, Eberhard’s received second place awards for its locally beloved Egg Nog and Chocolate Milk.

Mark Eberhard, President and General Manager, credits the entire team for the excellent products saying, “We work together as a team to ensure the best dairy products on the market: from our production and warehouse staff to our front office and delivery teams, each person is a vital part of this win. We are thrilled to once again receive this recognition from Oregon Dairy Industries.”

Eberhard's Mint Madness Shakes

Whether you are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day or March Madness, whip up a batch of our Mint Madness Shakes to get into the spirit of the season! If you make the shake, be sure to post and tag us on Instagram or Facebook at @EberhardsDairy.

Ingredients- Makes 2 servings

· 2 Cups Eberhard’s Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

· 1 Cup of Eberhard’s Whole Milk

· 8oz or 1 Cup of Eberhard’s Heavy Whipping Cream

· 1-2 Tablespoons of Powdered Sugar

Steps:

1. Pour whipping cream and powdered sugar into a mixing bowl. Using the whisk attachment of your hand held mixer, begin mixing on low speed and increase to medium-high until soft peaks form.

2. Test your whipping cream and add additional powdered sugar if necessary.

3. Using a blender, blend ice cream and whole milk until creamy.

4. Pour milkshake into glasses and top with whipped cream.

5. Enjoy!

Check out these fun variations on the Mint Madness Shake to make your shake your own!

Variation 1:

Add 3 mint cookies (your favorite Thin Mints) to your milkshake mixture.

Variation 2:

Drizzle chocolate syrup in your glass before pouring the in milkshake. Top with green sprinkles and a cherry for an Instagram-able treat.

Variation 3:

For adults over 21, substitute ½ cup of Eberhard’s Milk for ½ cup of your favorite Irish Cream and enjoy a boozy shake.

Learn a little bit more about Eberhard’s Dairy President, Mark Eberhard! Eberhard’s Dairy was founded by Mark’s grandfather, John Eberhard, Sr. in 1951 and Mark began working at the dairy as an ice-bagger at age eleven after school and on the weekends. His love for the business and dairy industry continued to grow as his role developed at the dairy: starting as a production assistant, moving to production manager, general manager, and finally CEO and President! He has loved working at Eberhard’s Dairy for 45 years- continuing the legacy of his forefathers and serving the Central Oregon community that has been with Eberhard’s each step of the way!
