Eberhard’s Organic Creamery Growth
Did you know we offer an organic line of milk products? It’s called Eberhard’s Organic Creamery! This year Eberhard’s Organic Creamery saw an expansion into 37 grocery stores throughout Central Oregon! Eberhard’s Organic Creamery is the first single-sourced, certified organic milk line in Central Oregon. The milk starts at the Poland family farm in Madras, then travels to Eberhard’s creamery in Redmond, and hits your stores shelves- all within 24 hours. was little-known history about life in Switzerland of our founder, John Eberhard, Sr. before coming to America. John and his 13 siblings lived on a small dairy farm in Schanis, Switzerland at the base of the Federi Mountain. The family had 8 cows and 20 goats that they used to make goat cheese and butter and they sold the cow’s milk to their local cheese factory.

In March, you played along with our game: Where in Oregon is Moo Moo Belle? Here are a few of the fun locations that Moo Moo Belle popped up throughout the month: Prineville, Hollinshead Park, Fireman’s Pond, and the Old Mill District!
Eberhard’s Won Big at the Oregon Dairy Industries
Each year, Oregon Dairy Industries recognizes companies in the Pacific Northwest who have made outstanding contributions to the dairy foods industry. This year, Eberhard’s Dairy received the top award for Chocolate Milk for the second year in a row. Additionally, Eberhard’s walked away with the runner up prize for the Cultured Products sweepstakes. Eberhard’s also took home second place awards for Cottage Cheese and Buttermilk.
Deschutes County Fair Centennial Ice Cream Contest
Starting in April, in partnership with the Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo, we held an ice cream flavor contest to celebrate the fair’s centennial! You sent in hundreds of fun and creative ice cream ideas over three months. We especially loved reading the fair memories that you submitted and featured them on our social media in our “Fair Fridays” throughout the summer. In June, the winning flavor was announced as Deschutes Flair! It was dreamed up by Julie K. and featured a French Vanilla Ice Cream base with a Chocolate Fudge and a Toffee Crunch Swirl.
Fair-goers couldn’t get enough of Julie’s flavor and it sold out each day of the fair. The flavor was also found in local scoop shops throughout the summer and at Music on the Green performances.
Music on the Green
Eberhard’s was once again proud to sponsor Music on the Green in Sam Johnson Park this past summer! Music on the Green combines free summer concerts with a block party atmosphere for mix of community and family fun. Attendees enjoyed music from Todd Haaby & Sola Via, Bobby Lindstrom, Down North, High Street netertianment, Juju Eyeball, and the Hokulea Dancers throughout the summer season.
Eberhard’s ice cream trailer, staffed by the Central Christian School’s Travel Club, served up ice cream to concert-goers each night!
Deschutes County Fair Centennial
The Deschutes County Fair’s Centennial celebration drew 296,940 people between July 31st-August 4th, becoming the highest attended fair in the county’s history! Continuing a long history of fair sponsorship, Eberhard’s sponsored the “Eberhard Food Court Stage” at the Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo which hosted a salute to our nation’s local veterans and free entertainment for attendees throughout the five days of the fair.
Flavor of the Month
This fall, Eberhard’s began featuring our Ice Cream Flavor on the Month on social media! Each feature also coincided with a product giveaway for 4 lucky followers. Stay tuned for more giveaways throughout the year!
Holiday Favorites and THANK YOU
We were once again honored to be a part of your holiday traditions! You incorporated Eberhard’s award-winning Egg Nog, Heavy Whipping Cream, Sour Cream, Sweet Cream Butter, Peppermint Candy Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, and French Vanilla Ice Cream into your family recipes throughout this holiday season.
